my '02 softail has road king high bars in the sig pic below

My wife also has RK high bars on her bike

In reading this thread it seems most don't know about part #55954-00 which is Designed to provide extra comfort for the Road KingŪ rider, this chrome bar is 4-1/2 inches higher and 2 inches narrower than the stock handlebar found on '96-99 Road KingŪ models and 3-1/2 inches higher and 1-1/2 inches narrower than stock handlebar on '00-'01 Road KingŪ models.

does it require new cables or are stock long enuf ? I have 98 road king classic injected

Well there you have it. I'm glad I didn't post pics of my scoot with apes on it!! LOL!!

I believe stock cables are long enough on the road king for RK High bars.

Both of our bikes are softails and I did not need to change anything.

The RK high bars have a very comfortable wrist position far superior to the stock heritage bars but you being a RK kind of guy would not know about the shi**y heritage bars...

LOL - nope, but I'll take your word for it.

I'll check into those at the dealer and see if they think I'll need new cables, if so sounds like a good time for stainless
