Default Sold my Harbor Freight platform lift.

Put my platform lift on Craig list late Sat. gone by noon Sun. for My firm asking price. $50.00 less than I paid for it with coupon. Two others were waiting if the 1st buyer backed out.
reason for selling the platform is that I decided Pitbull better suited my needs. No problems with HF platform lift, well made and worked as would be expected. Incidentally I found the best way to load my bike on platform was to use the winch which is mounted on my jeep to pull it on. no help needed and I felt much safer than when I drove it on. winch has a remote control which I held in my hand as I guided it on the platform.

I went into HF last Saturday. I was looking for a wheel chock and the manager said he had five 1000 lb platform lifts in stock and would sell me one for $322. I was tempted, but the more I thought about it, I couldn't think of anything it would do for me.
If I did buy one, I would have to pull up and park on it every day because it would be in the middle of my garage.

I passed on it and am glad I did.

I have 2 Dunwell jacks and love them, best jack ever made, too bad they're out of business but keep an eye on craigslist, they come up for sale once in a while. Still, I'm looking for a table lift, Direct Lift makes a decent one, twice the price of a HF with coupon but likely much better quality. Handy Lift being the best but they are expensive and near impossible to find used.

I have the garage space for one since truck won't fit in garage anyway, so one side can be devoted to the lift. Sure would help my back to have the lift. Have three bikes in need of repair and putting it off until I get a lift. Within a month I'll prolly go get the direct lift so I can get busy. Will still keep a jack around for washing the bike.
