My buddy has this problem and he was told to only fill the oil in the tank to the half way mark in the acceptable range. (or what ever it is called) That eliminated the puking problem. When he kept it at the top of the full range it puked. Halfway down, no more.

As long as I keep oil level half way on hash marks HOT and no higher ,I only get an occasional drips so ........I ................well.....see below !

I when I clean and oil filter before I install the cover I take one of my GFs stick on panty liners and stick it inside bottom of the cover to catch any drips.

WORKS GREAT !

I understand the whole Kotex thing but that doesn't solve the root problem of pushing that much oil out of the breathers.

What are using now for an AC?
Have you tried another Air cleaner, and if so what results?

Myself, I had a Kuryakyn AC on my old evo and it had difficulty with oil blow-by but I put on a Super E carb w/the K&N filter and never had any problems with it after that.

On my TC I am running an Arlen Ness Stage 1 Big Sucker for the past 3 years and have not experienced any issues, and certainly no blow-by. (knock on wood).
What year is your bike?

2011 FLTRU. Have the SE Stage 1 air cleaner/backing plate with K&N on it. had the Ness Stage 1 air cleaner/backing plate on it and it did it with that too.

The pic of the Ness ynots posted above has a different backing plate than what mine had. Those vent holes look to be placed more toward the intake than out onto the backing plate.

The PM and RSD cleaners have rubber boots that come off the breather bolts(the source of the oil)and route that back in to the intake. I just put a Ness on my bagger and it has some sort of channel for the oil to feed through as well.

One of the most common tricks is to not fill your oil level to full on the dipstick as the higher your oil level is the more oil will blow out of the breather bolts. Most people keep the oil about halfway up the dipstick. No, this will not damage your engine.

So if I understand what you guys are saying is there is no fix for the problem, just some remedies to minimize the amount of goop that ends up blowing all over the bike?

To answer you question, yes I have the S&S aircleaner just like the one you have shown. It works fine. Never have had the problem you are talking about. The tech told me not to run it clear full. I run mine about a 1/4 inch down the stick. He said it will blow out anything above that. But again no problem with the S&S air cleaner.
