Wow I had no idea so many people have had issues with these pipes. Nobody has ever mentioned it before ( that I've seen). Like I said I've been waiting 2 months and I'm suppose to have them either this week or next week at the latest. Makes me wonder if I would be better off buying the knock offs and spending the rest of my $$$ on a tuner, or even new head pipes! I could buy the ko and vh power duels for the same price as the real ones. anyone experiancing blueing with there cfrs?

Just scratched CFR off my possible exhaust list. My last set of Bassani pipes never rusted or peeled and had 27k on them.

The flaking seems to be a recent development recently, due to the age of the mufflers. It has been noted by CFR, and they found the cause and have come up with a solution - a new chromer. Any new muffler being sold shouldn't have the problems some have experienced in the past.

As for OP's situation, I don't know what to say. In my situation, I called them, politely and civilly explained my dissatisfaction, and they took care of it, riki-tik.

Update:

Had a woman pick up at their number yesterday...they said I was flagged as having problems with the exhaust. She told me Cary would call me back....no call back yesterday or today. I'll try calling again tomorrow.

I don't have a dog in this race but $600 for a set of mufflers? They should be kissing the *** of anyone you bought the product.

Got an email from Cary and was told to ship them back and "if they wernt scared" he would replace them with a new set. I shipped them out today so that was $35 out of my pocket. I got much better pictures when them off the bike Im working up loading up.
