Thanks! I thought about some stock heritage bars, but a year ago I had a Deluxe and It had 12in bars on it, and that was on top of 2in risers. I really loved the feel of that bike as far as my sitting position and the way my arms were. They weren't silly high or really any higher than my shoulders and I never felt I was reaching. I could sit back, lean back and relax while riding. I'm looking for that.

So I figured 14s would be similar since the RK doesn't have risers like a Heritage. I don't mind if I have to get new wires either as I like the look of the stainless/braided ones.

What is a stabilizer? Is that something that helps keep the bars from shaking so much? I did notice that the windshield shakes a HELL of a lot more than my softail.

Thanks for all the complements...and yes I know these forums will cost me money lol. I started out here when I had a Sportster, then a Street Bob and a Deluxe before the Road King. I've always been a member of a forum for the bikes and cars I've had.

I have another question. Sorry for my ignorance, but As far as I know the bike is a 2004 Carbed bike with a choke. That would mean it's not fuel injected. However it's got the Screamin' Eagle Stage 2 Big Bore Kit. The Part number listed on the sheet from when it was new/installed is 29775-02a. When I look that up it says it's the Big Bore kit for EFI.

So what does that mean? I mean, this is a bike with a choke so it's not fuel injected. So why is the kit installed one for EFI?

Color me confused.

Lower it. Mine is lowered front and rear and to me it looks way better. Two members of my crew ride Road Kings stock height and they look way too high in the rear. My opinion though.

Just have Mean city cycles redo your seat.
They can narrow it.
Move it forward etc.
