Yep....I will sometimes help out on the dealer's demo day and we always caution people riding the bikes that when they are on a touring model and doing a slow right turn, do not grab that front brake...cause the bike is going down (and always does since most of the time these are people who haven't ridden HD's much).

Hi
The kickstand on my EG always worries me as it allows the bike to move forward quit a bit once it's placed down. Asked the dealer he said it is normal. Makes me nervous every time I get off it though that she is going down.
I dropped mine for the first time just a few days ago. Right in front of the diner with a nice audience Pulling into park had the front wheel turned to the right to loop around going very slow and hit that front brake...plop..down she went. No damage at all though so I was lucky. Welcome to the club!

So you put it on the kick stand and it fell over to the right? Anyway, welcome to the club of those who have dropped our bikes. Dropped my sporty twice, once in the garage, luckily it leaned against the tool box so it didnt go over that far and the other time I was out in the front yard drinkin riding it in flip flops, stopped, flipflop slipped on wet grass over it went to the left. Got it picked up, was about to put the kickstand down I tilted it just past upright and down it went again to the right this time. Lesson learned, never putt around in the yard on your new sporty while you are drinking and wearing flip flops (stupid I know, lol) No damage either time, was lucky.
On another note, thanks for your service and come home safe.

His bike fell over to the right, at least that is how I was understanding his story.
If your bike is leaned over on the Jiffy stand (and it is working as it should), it will not fall over no matter how much you push it around the parking lot.
Yes it will roll forward a little, but that jiffy stand will not fold up on you.
Get a helper to hold your bike in an upright position, while you lay down next to your bike on the jiffy stand side.
Put the stand down, and you can see how it is spring loaded.
You'll also notice that when you pull the stand straight out (like what happens when the bike is parked) that the jiffy stand "locks" into place and will not fold up.
