Sorry to hear what happened, but I never understand why people are always in such a hurry.
Maybe I'm just nervous about mine falling over.
I really don't understand people who fuel up sitting on the bike, but that's for another thread.

Exactly what I did. I'm on the 4th bike, never dropped one. 2 weeks after I bought my UC, a friend and I were riding in Alexandria, LA. He rides a VTX, and needed to go to the Honda shop. What do I do? Wheeled into the parking lot slowly turning right into a parking space and immediately dropped my brand new bike on it's left side. No real damage, put a small scuff on the bottom of the bag guards, and another on my left side foot board. Hurt my ego more than anything else. A flock of guys with Honda shirts ran out and helped me pick up my HD! I'm just a little more careful with that front brake now.....

I dropped mine for the first time just a few days ago. Right in front of the diner with a nice audience Pulling into park had the front wheel turned to the right to loop around going very slow and hit that front brake...plop..down she went. No damage at all though so I was lucky. Welcome to the club!
They're actually designed to do that. You can push your bike around with the stand down and it won't flip up. There is a lock that keeps it in the down position. It felt kind of weird to me to until I tried it

Dropped my sporty twice, once in the garage, luckily it leaned against the tool box so it didnt go over that far and the other time I was out in the front yard drinkin riding it in flip flops, stopped, flipflop slipped on wet grass over it went to the left. Got it picked up, was about to put the kickstand down I tilted it just past upright and down it went again to the right this time. Lesson learned, never putt around in the yard on your new sporty while you are drinking and wearing flip flops (stupid I know, lol) No damage either time, was lucky.
Judging by your sig pic I'm wondering did you really learn your lesson? Sorry dude had to do it, you left the door wide open for that one.

On another note, thanks for your service and come home safe.

Anyone who owns a bike knows its not a matter of if you drop it....it's when. The best advice is watch a few videos on how to pick it up. Your ego will stay in tact if nobody's around and you can pick it up by yourself hehe.

What your describing and what happened to the OP (based on his description) are not the same thing.
His bike fell over to the right, at least that is how I was understanding his story.

If your bike is leaned over on the Jiffy stand (and it is working as it should), it will not fall over no matter how much you push it around the parking lot.
Yes it will roll forward a little, but that jiffy stand will not fold up on you.

Get a helper to hold your bike in an upright position, while you lay down next to your bike on the jiffy stand side.
Put the stand down, and you can see how it is spring loaded.
You'll also notice that when you pull the stand straight out (like what happens when the bike is parked) that the jiffy stand "locks" into place and will not fold up.
