A buddy had apes installed by the local indy shop (not sure the height, but they weren't that high...maybe 10's or 12's) and the bill was $3200.00....he talked them down to $2,800.00 since he is a frequent customer!
I've purchased whole bikes for less than that!

There goes the "Indy's are always better" theory. Your buddy got raped. Why would he agree to that price? A buddy got bars on his Electra Glide do eat a dealer and paid 900. That included braided lines.
Ya he got ripped. I did my wo578s for $300 and my inner for $275. 10 inch is the highest you can go with out changing anything. I put a +2 on my clutch cable to have plenty of play
