Very true. One or two small items and its not worth the shipping. I had a few 1k+ orders and thats where shipping isn't bad for the order.

 

I have delt with Chicago for some time now... I have found "Sue" in internet sale - also have found it is best to find one person you like and deal only with them - just works better and as far as shipping - Always been very good, in fact down right cheap.... I caught them last year when they ran "no shipping" that is when I got all the parts to change my EG into a RG - save a ton on shipping both inner/outer fairings...

 

yeah, all my orders fron Chicago Harley has been over $1k.....my last order I should recieve in a week was only $18 for shipping....great guys, great customer service

 

I stopped dealing with CH because of their delivery! They've always given 20% but not up front with delivery. Zanotti's has that information on their site and will tell you if their stock was sold.

I also use Benjy's Harley-Davidson but the were recently sold so I don't know if Jenni is still there. When she was all you had to do was mention HD-Forums and she'd give you 20% or more.

Every time I have ordered from Chicago Harley the prices have been the same or a little lower than Zanotti. And shipping is always cheaper. Just placed an order with CH a few days ago. Shipping is $10.50. The same order with Zanotti would have been $35 in shipping. Big difference.

Jenni's the bomb when it comes to HD parts. Very knowlegable on parts and bikes. I'm sure there are others like her but for me .... I've stopped looking! When I had a problem she made things right!! I know where my money will be spent. Cole's is buying out Benji's but the transition will be slow over the next year or so..... no way will they let go of Jenni. Does way too much business volume. Most everyone is a repeat customer!! Very rare in today's world. Doesn't matter, she could open her own parts house and burn the competition.....Tim

 

Another thing about Chicago HD is they just included Drag Specailties item's on there web page. Not 20% off like the HD parts but 10%. Still not bad but your able to just punch Drag's number's in. It is a plus. I havn't heard anything about Chicago HD eliminating there 20% off policy. Is thisa true? I've been using them for quite awhile and have been very pleased. Putt

 

Chicago has been 20% off on-line orders for the past several years and to my knowledge hasn't veered from this policy. As was mentioned, Zanotti is another who discounts, although their shipping is relatively high on some orders. When I buy I usually get a price from both, then buy from the lowest quote including shipping. Sometimes Chicago is lower, sometimes not, so I buy from both.

FWIW, Chicago's on-line department is independent from the retail store and doesn't carry inventory, as I understand it, and everything must be ordered. Therefore there's a delay of a week or so before items are shipped. I find that Zanotti carries some inventory, which can be checked on-line, and if your item is in stock it will ship quicker. Another dealer giving 20% off is Surdyke (www.surdyke.com), but I haven't used them yet.
