Sorry bro but you're wrong. I've got the same bags from Eastern and theyre ABS. Not much prep at all and the same thickness as HD bags. Trust me, I compared the hell out of them. I took one to my local dealer before I had it painted and we went over them both with a fine tooth comb. Theyre pretty spot on, to a point where saving the extra money was worth it.

That figures. They were selling the sh-t out of them. A lot of guys over on RG.org got them this year. Do a search. I've never seen anyone not happy with the ones from eastern. There was some others being sold on eBay and some may not have been quite as good quality

Sorry to take the thread off topic but I went through the same thing and ended up with the eastern bags at more than a 500 dollar saving and very happy with them. Kelly and race face are only a couple , I have them. Kelly had a good thread on going on his and there was a lot or others with positives on it

Also keep in mind the HD color matched are solid color so if you have striping on your bags that is not on the $1000 Harley bags. I had mine painted and on the bike for less than 550

They have been selling from eastern performance and on their eBay site for a year. For 360 or make offer, apparently they are currently back ordered.

There are at least a dozen of us that got them for 360 or less

Do a search on this forum or RG.org

Here's one of many threads

Not trying to get in the middle but I do know best price for HD-CVO Bags is LSHD1. I know nothing about Easterns Bags but I did save quite a bit of money buy getting them from LSHD1 painted. Received them Friday and had them on and heading down the highway Saturday

Somebody needs to do a little research before posting mis-information. They are NOT fiberglass.

My painter was extremely impressed with the ABS V-Twin CVO bags from Eastern Performance.
All the hardware fit perfectly, all holes were exactly where they should be.

He told me that in his opinion they were just as good of quality as any HD bag, and much better than any other aftermarket bag he had ever painted.
This guy has painted a lot of custom bikes.

You can't go wrong with the V-Twin CVO bags.
