Default Installed Fuelpak, now CEL....WTH?

I installed a Fuelpak on my 02 EGC and configured everything correctly, and when I started the engine, the CEL stayed on. When I unplugged the FP and connected directly to the ECM, the light goes out after startup... Whats going on?

Thanks in advance for credible feedback

One of your pins isn't connecting correctly. I had a FP prior to getting my micro tuner, and initially it did the same thing.

I just disconnected it, blew air into the pin slots, and seated it firmly. Check the pin ends and make sure they aren't covered with crud, maybe hit them a bit with an eraser or some electrical connector cleaner. It took care of it when it happened to me.

Outside of that, if it's still doing it, +1 on my67pnycar6's comment-call VH. Good luck.

Thanks for the responses so far... I checked the modes for the correct mapping for the FP, and the CEL stays on. If I disconnect it and connect the bikes harness directly into the ECM, the CEL goes out.

How do I check the CEL for fault codes. I have the HD servoice manual for reference...

It's has to be a connection/pin issue.......

Set control switch to RUN with Ignition off. Hold in your speedo reset button while switching on Ignition switch....All warning lights should activate and the pointers on your speedo & tach should swing to the extreme right and then back to zero. Then cycle through the diagnostic steps by pushing the reset button to first the letter "P", hold button in and any codes should pop up in your speedo window. Continue through all the numbers, writing any codes seen down. Once you do it once, your see how easy it is to do.

There's a thread on here with all of the codes and what they mean. I'm sure somebody will be able to direct you to it.
