Default Rear sprocket pulley and belt

2010 ultras and all other touring. Guys I think there may be an issue with the manufacturing process of the rear belt pulley. I have read a couple of post about pre mature belt wear and I myself found a brand new pulley that I was about to install with tons of manufacturing weld slag in the pulley teeth where they weld the side plates on.

I would like as many of you as possible look at the outside edge of the teeth and see if you notice any rub wear or chipping. This would be on all new frame late model touring. Just curious if this is a new chronic issue.

Probably. The third world factory that built that sprocket probably doesn't even know what it is. They just build it to harley specs. I agree, I've been hearing a lot about these lately myself. My scoot is a dinosaur in comparison, so I don't have to worry about it until probably 100k.

Agreed some kid in India welding them together. I have a new 2013 ultra with 250 miles on it and if not being paranoid I swear this belt is showing some rubbing wear.
