Can I install the HD Smart Security System myself on my 2007 Ultra or must the dealer do it?

 

Most of the Harley ad on's are plug and play. The bikes are usually wired for all of their accessaries. Harley saves money this way only building one harness to fit all bikes. Like my Standard came wired for radio, just plug it in on radio.

 

Another security question. My 07 Street Glide came with a security system but i don't see a audible alarm/siren add on available for the 07's as I do the older model's. Do they offer this siren for the 07's? Putt

 

The smart security system will need to be installed by them. However the "factory" security system, the one with the pushbutton can be installed yourself. (edit; the Factory system is only listed to 06 so not sure if it would work on the 07)

You will want the smart siren II that way if you decide later to add the pager all you need to do is buy it and hit a button or two. it is also alot cheaper in the long run then the old smart siren and old pager not to mention better function. Another option is some people have gone to radio shack and bought a speaker to attach to the current system. I don't have much info on that but if you search this site you should find something.
