I have a LRS 9" Ultra an my old EG. I love it, but I've had nothing else to compare to except the factory WS. I am going to purchase a 6 inch WS from LRS soon.
Hey Tom, I have the 6" LRS...at highway speeds there is a noticeable buffeting on the top of my head with my half helmet ON....with it OFF, there is no buffeting.......putting my hand up there I can feel that disctint line between the air going over and that (bubble) im in .....Im 6' on a stock 07 Ultra Classic....thinking of going to the 9"....
just my .02
Tossing my hat into the ring... check out Fast Airre's Aero. The original polycarbonate recurved windshield...$79.99 for a poly recurved shield with a 1 year warranty. You cant beat it. Sale ends Sunday at midnight.

Thanks for the heads-up. I like my 9" WS when I'm riding 2-up but with my solo seat, I have to look through it as my seat sits quite low.
I have a 5 inch shield that I made myself, and it works pretty good with the solo seat. So I was thinking of getting the 6 inch LRS.
You'll like that 9" shield, I'm sure.
On a side note, I've noticed that most of the buffeting I get with any shield goes away if I tuck my legs and knees in tight to the tank.
I've used the LRS shields in the flat top and ultra styles along with a cee baileys and the stocker.. I was hoping to hear more about the Harley windsplitters and others. The Klockwerks and Cee Baileys are kinda spacey looking.
Of course everyone will have a different opinion, but what its worth...I've tried the stock shield 4",tried KW6.5",9",LRS ultra 7"&9"... After all those I've found the LRS 9"to be the best...no buffetting and I can hear my radio at 80mph!! BTW...when you measure for a windshield,it should ne level with your upper lip or under the nose, but again some like to look thru it...my 2cents
