Help With Aftermarket Seat FLHRS
OK,
I need help..... well besides that I need help with my scoot[8D]. I want to replace the stock seat ( I am sending my stock seat to mean city for a mod but want another seat also). I am looking at a Mustang. I cannot move any further forward than I am. I am 6'2" and 290. I have read most every post I can find and could not find one specific to moving up and forward on these seats. Please give me your experiences so I can get a good saddle before it gets warm here. Thanks. I am looking specifically at the Regal Pillow 78799 or 75878
Thanks in advance.Mike

RE: Help With Aftermarket Seat FLHRS
I had the same problem but I'm 6' 6" and on the far side of 300 pounds so the stock seat just wouldn't do for me. When I bought my Ultra my salesman told me about a Harley seat called the "Tallboy". I bought it and have been very happy with it. It moves me back about an inch and up around an inch and a half. I throw a natural black sheep skin over the seat and am very comfortable when I ride.

RE: Help With Aftermarket Seat FLHRS
i know you asked specifically about mustang seats, but i put a corbin classic solo on mine and am very happy with it. i am 'vertically challenged' (okay, short) at 5'4" with a 29-30 inseam. the corbin did not move me forward any in relation to stock, and maybe actually lifted me up about 1/2". at least, i couldn't flatfoot with the stock seat, and can't flatfoot with the corbin either.....
but it is damn comfy when i ride
oh yeah, msrp on the seat was 499, got it from zanottis for 350 + 20 shipping

I second the corbin seat. I have a duel tourer on my RK and love it. I am 6-1 about 270 and found it way more comfortable than the Mustang. It moved me back, and is maybe about the same height as stock. Some people say the corbins are to hard, phooey. Firm and supportive. Can ride way longer than stock and longer than the mustang.

Talk to the Chuck over at C&C seats, http://www.ccseats.com/. They made a seat for me. Very happy with the quality.

RE: Help With Aftermarket Seat FLHRS
OK, I am in the driveway, 71 F,waiting to go for a little ride this afternoon. I told my daughter when the FedEx guy comes, sign for the box and bring it inside, I was waiting for my new Mustang Regal seat. As I start my ride, here comes the FedEx guy. I quickly put the new seat on the bike and went for a tank and a half ride. This seat is so nice compared to the stock seat. It doesn't move me forward at all (this is good) and after an hour the foam settles in and I am no higher than before. After much searching I have found the seat for my azz! Thanks to Mark and MandM for getting this here in 3 days and on a Saturday to boot!
