RE: Aftermarket alarm
if you go Scorpio make sure and get the newer model with the rechargeable remote, the older one goes thru about 1 AAA battery a month Other than that it is a great alarm easy to install. if your seat pan is metal it makes the perimeter sensor a little difficult to install but not impossible

RE: Aftermarket alarm
I have the Gorilla Alarm on my bike and am very happy with it. I also had it on my last bike. Good alarm at reasonable price. The remote pager function is nice feeling of security when you stop for coffee on the road.

There are a number of alarms you can use, as long as they are installed properly you should have no problem. I picked one up off e-bay for $40 starter interupt, siren, sensitivity and remote start, it works great. If the bad guy decides to move it the siren will go off and If started I can disable it with the remote if close by, just a little bit of assurance if the crook wants it bad enough they will get it. Just make it a little tougher for them to grab they might jsut move on.
