Default Extended ABS Line?

Well, I made the decision to go ahead with starting my installation of the 17" Todd's Cycle bars last weekend when the dealer said the abs line is on back order but only until 5/30. Yesterday, the new ship date is now 6/18. Not good!

Does anyone know a source for a 10" or 12" over upper ABS brake line for a 2009 to 2013 RGC? I do not care if it's black or braided. Maybe someone has a used one from an old build?

Also, does anyone know if a universal Goodridge line with AN type fittings will clear the ABS controller?

Thanks!

When replacing lines on your bike, do you need a special machine to "recalibrate" the ABS after your handlebar upgrade?

Would love to do the same, but not excited about having to take it to the dealership to "fix" the ABS after I tinker with the brake lines.

Thanks!

Reading over at roadglideorg, there are some that fill the new line prior to installation then just bleed with a vacuum pump and have had no issues.

I'll try it that way before I load it up and take it to the dealer and then post the results afterwards.

Don't let air get into the control box behind the right cover. Instead if pushing the fluid down from the master cylinder, I pushed it up from the caliper with a syringe and tube. Worked great, no fault codes to reset, tested the ABS on gravel with no problems. Easy $8 part on eBay. I would think refilling the tube would be very messy, and not totally void of air.
