I have a chance to pick up a police solo seat off a 2008, does anyone know if it will fit on my 2011 ultra? Already did a search and couldn't find the info I need.

I believe they will be the same. In 2008 they changed the seat configuration so the seat has the hole in it vs a tongue. If not someone will chime in and correct me.

 

In 2009 the frame was redesigned on the touring bikes, so I would say probably not. You will want one that fits a 2009 up. That being said, I love my police seat and you should be able to pick up a complete unit for your bike off e-bay. I got mine a couple years ago for $150 for the complete setup. Good luck

 

I am going to disagree about the seat. I know they changed the frame and all in 09 but the seat change came about in 08.

It will work. I just put the same set up from an 08 on my 12 limited. Mounted the air tank under the tour pack same as a police unit except had to bend the front mount tab down. Mounted the tank on the plate frame bolts only, and no issues with it being loose.

 

glide2meetu.you right about seat years. but police seat do not have tongue or funnel .they bolts to the frame next to gas tank.and on rear they have spring.or air bag.beleive 2013 are different.mrfuji

 

The parts microfiches on Ronnies HD website are a great source of info. Most parts for that seat assembly are 08 or earlier, the only 09-later specific parts being the frame cover and air cylinder, but motorsgt8 has addressed fitting that.
