My kids use a youth model dirt bike helmet. My son used itwhile ridinghis dirt bike. It fits all the kids, DOT approved and has the full chin guard. They have to use googles for eye protection.I like it because it gives them plenty of protection and not to heavy for them. Its lighter than the youth full facehelmets at the dealer.

I just bought the HJC Youth full face helmut at the HD dealer today. This helmut is identical to the HD youth helmut but at the fraction of the price ($79.99 Canadian vs $179.99 for the HD model). Fits my 10 year old daughter to the "T" and offers the protection that is not something that I was not willing to compromise.

I second the vote for the HJCyouth helmet. Picked oneup for my son at a local non-Harley shop which let us try it on him before we bought it. It's DOT approved where many off-road helmets are not. And if I were to havea problem with my son on the back I would not want to risk his life to save a few $$$.
