I just think after 35k miles and IPB replaced once and a second one making noise and soon to be replaced is a sign of poor design, bad quality, or something. Just would like to get it fixed and not have to worry about it again for the life of the bike.
I agree it would be worth their time to come up with a one piece bearing and seal for the 08 and newer bikes.

I did replace my auto tensioner with the Hayden unit. It's been a few weeks since I got my bike running and I should go back in and just do a quick inspection.

I looked up the earlier bearing a while back, and when asking a particular vendor of this bearing about the price of $35 compared to what I could find all over the internet for 8-12 bucks, I was told they actually machine the bearing before offering it for sale. Uhh-huh, not calling anyone a liar, but I'd like to see that setup...
They use a hone.

I ran a brake cyl hone through mine. Wasnt rocket science and for bou 25 bucks at Napa for the seal and bearing.
