Does Timken make a IPB
#11
No, I have not come up with anything. I have called Baker and All-***** and talked to them. Nothing. I reiterated the issue that we all seem to have with the IPB and race. All-***** said they would talk to their research to see if/what they could come with.
I have not found the specs to the IPB to see if timken has a cross reference with it.
Maybe I am going to far with this, maybe just replace it and replace the tensioner would fix this. I just think after 35k miles and IPB replaced once and a second one making noise and soon to be replaced is a sign of poor design, bad quality, or something. Just would like to get it fixed and not have to worry about it again for the life of the bike.

I did replace my auto tensioner with the Hayden unit. It's been a few weeks since I got my bike running and I should go back in and just do a quick inspection.

I believe...
Some body would have one for sale by now, if they could put a 300% markup on it like everyone has done for the earlier models...
I looked up the earlier bearing a while back, and when asking a particular vendor of this bearing about the price of $35 compared to what I could find all over the internet for 8-12 bucks, I was told they actually machine the bearing before offering it for sale. Uhh-huh, not calling anyone a liar, but I'd like to see that setup...
