Default Screamin’ Eagle Street Performance Touring Mufflers vs. Street Cannon's

I've currently got the Screamin' Eagle Street Performance Touring Mufflers (4") 64985-07A on my '10 Ultra. They sound okay but are a little quiet around town and at idle. I'd like to go to something that has a little more rumble to it, something with more bass around town and when you get on the throttle. Harley has a new set of mufflers available, the Screamin’ Eagle Street Cannon Performance Slip-On Mufflers, (4") part number 64900186.

Anyone familiar with the mufflers I currently have and these new Street Cannon's that could tell me if there is enough of a difference to make it worth the cost? I know there are a ton of after-market mufflers available that I could look at, but would like to stay with Harley mufflers.

Thank you.

Any of the SE stuff is going to be EPA compliant so there is only so much noise they can make. I was going to put the SE street performance on my new Fatboy until I found out there is cat in them. I have the SE street performance on the 11 FLHTK and like them, but I don't want obnoxious noise. Can hear them at idle and nice rumble on the road. Did you do the stage 1 or just mufflers?

Just saw you were in CA and that limits your options.

I was just looking in the Harley catalog at both of these and am also interested in anyone's experience. Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer insights.

Default Street Cannons

My 2013 came with SE Street Cannons. They sound ok, but not near as throaty as the 4" Jackpot mufflers I installed from FM. Can't really compare them to V&H or Rhineharts, as I don't know anyone with a set. Definitely more "bark" then the stock mufflers though...

Ultra,

If you are still running the stock headpipe, anything is going to be quiet because the cat is in the headpipe and muffling the sound. Try changing the headpipe first.

I had the SE street performance. They were nice but a little to quite. I ended up with V&H Twin Slash and they are much louder throughout to RPM range..

What about the HD SE Fatshotz? You can adjust the sound and keep the EPA cert in case they start enforcing rules.

Would that be something that I could order through Harley, or is that an after-market solution?

I've seen differing opinions here of what a 'stage 1' is... in my case, I did the stage 1 air intake and download when I had the Screamin' Eagle mufflers put on.

hi! the stock screaming mufflers with after market baffels will give you more sound, and the muffler is stamped with the epa garb. cycle shack, big city thunder or fullsac performance makes baffels for the stock cvo mufflers, that what im running with fullsac cvo cores haven't had a problem with them around cops in cali an im all over so cal but mine is an 07 sg now, the13s have new problems with the new law, but haven't herd of anyone getting tickets, the beach aeras are the bad spots for tickets but who wants to go sit in traffic down there. good luck bud
