Default Bad day at the dealership

I showed up to get my bike tuned at 1015 yesterday morning. The tuner said it would take about 1.5-2 to complete the tune. 3 hrs go by and no bike rollong out. I speak with the tuner guy and he said that when the bike it cold it has a great pull (didnt see or ask to see the numbers) but then when he went to do another test run, he said that the bike lost 35-40 hp and tq.

Another 2 hrs goes by and nothing still. I ask again about my bike. He said that he had to readjust my pushrods. And that another person had a appointment at 1 so he had to take my bike off. Now it was back on and he has know clue why it loosing the numbers that he mentioned.

Now im getting a little pissed, not the tuners fault but damn the bike didnt have any problems before i brought it there. Anyways, they start pulling bikes back into the store and he comes out and says that he couldnt fix the problem that they would have to keep the bike. And now it almost 430.

6 hrs of waiting for now results and now i have no bike till the problem is fixed.

So i get ready to go home, and i see them start loading kegs into a truck to add salt to the wound. Damn

ok im done, i will give further updates later.

Sounds like getting screwed, did you authorize them to adjust the pushrods? Do you have adjustable pushrods? Sounds like clowns messing up your bike and getting paid for it?

Without knowing your bike, assuming it ran 70 hp on the first run... He's saying it lost 50% power on the second run??? Even if it were sumping badly the loss wouldn't be THAT dramatic, right? Makes no sense.

No way in hell the bike loses that much power from cold to hot, unless you break something........ Also no way in hell you're pulling mine off to work on another if you screwed it up.

really you can't count on any precise work to occur in the scheduled time.

best to figure a way to drop the bike off and pick it up when ready.

OP doesn't specify what the mod history is or what services were to be performed..

but loosing 30 HP means I can beat him on foot.

hope the solution is easy and quick.

that's a huge power loss. you'd have to bend some valves in the head to lose that much or have some issues with spark. is he dyno'ing the bike in parade mode? lol
