Bad day at the dealership
#41
Those are the people I would not let dyno my bike. I won't get into it here, lets just say my 07 got an unplanned rebuild because of that dealership group's incompetence. I won't even buy oil from Naples/Ft Myers Harley. They sure are good at playing the its not my fault game. Really? You sold me the mods, you installed them, and after a 1000 miles of the bike running like crap I take to somebody so now it's their problem. Even though a ten mile ride home caused the exhaust to glow bright orange and the thing pings going down the Interstate? Thanks to those guys a seized guide at 26,000 miles. And a competent dealer up in Pa straightened the bike out in one visit. Dealer said yeah wrong map I flashed it for you, no charge.

Wow !!
The bad part is; Most of these "tech's" at dealerships
are parts changers at best. They make nowhere near
the money automotive makes (normally) w/little or NO
training.
So dyno tuning and eng mods? CLEARLY put of their realm.
That stuff is an art - best left to qualified people.
The good ol CARB closed my favorite shop down (YES IT IS
ILLEGAL TO CHANGE EXH SYSTEMS IN CALIF!!!)
so I have NO idea where I would go now.
Just have to research
Good luck to you !!!

Yep...one more unsatisfied customer that was convinced it was best to go with a "tune" from them crack jobs at the dealer instead of going with a Power Vision or Power Commander. 7,800 happy miles and still not one single issue with my PC-V. Good luck to the OP and hopefully more people will start seeing these dealer mishaps as a lesson learned when it comes to tuning.

Thank you!!! I couldn't find that for the life of me. Also saw I can turn off avatars, which makes things much work work place safe.
