It's called "screw the customer...it's time to start the Memorial Day party" fees. Sorry to hear your woes & hope they get things straightened-out for you...at a "discounted" price...
I'm sorry, did I understand you to say he did a cold run, as in not warmed up to operating temp? I can envision blown seals, gaskets, and possibly inadequate lubrication, and the list can go on and on. Is this what most dyno tuners do? I've got only Porsche experience to fall back on, but we would never do a pull cold. That's begging for trouble. Hoped they find the issue soon.
Example; was talking to my service writer and was talking about replacing the primary cover. I gave him a part number and he gave me a price. now my old primary was sitting on the shelf and i was just going to replace it with a new one. now understand the price he gave me was just the price on the part no gasket or labor was included in his price. I was walking around the strore and walked up to the parts counter handed him the number and he came back with a different price. that makes me wonder do service writers get commission?
Yes, most service writers and salesman work on commission. Kind of gives you the "warm & fuzzies" doesn't it.
