A guy at work makes these. I was beta testing it for about a year. Not bad to use.

From Iceman24:
Whatever floats your boat...for me, I'd be scared of getting the toe stuck in like a vise and then can't get foot loose to plant before bike tips...JMO.

--> There is a little extra space for my toe in between, so it doesn't feel any different than a toe shifter.

First you say this.

So I tried putting them both forward. After tweaking the position a little, I find this the easiest. Just have to slide my foot forward and move my toe up and down. Works best with the upper shifter to the outside.

But it does look funny.

Then you say this.

-> Yup. I have a pathological indifference to whether others approve of what I do to my bike.[/QUOTE]

So which is it? You're concerned about how it looks or you don't care what others think? Sounds like you have Cognitive Selective Indifference Syndrome. I'm thinkin' therapy.

danzio, I gave your post all the thought it was due. And then some. My statement "it looks funny" could be taken as a simple acknowledgment that some might take exception to my approach in an attempt to deflect some of the inevitable criticism that happens whenever someone dares to diverge from accepted biker protocols. Or it could just mean that it looks funny to me, which is probably closer to the truth.

Neither of these interpretations would imply any great concern over the opinions of others, so I see no contradiction.

Besides, therapy didn't help.
