I've seen that done before. Nothing wrong with it at all, and if there was you wouldn't catch me judging anyway.
I personally went with two extended levers and the back one is about flush with the floorboard. I only use the heel for neutral and having that position gives be positive neutral engagement every single time easily.
It doesnt look bad but how does it help? With the lever canted in the same direction as the standard front shifter wouldn't they both exert force the same way?
Well if thats not the case, then why get on a public forum and "pat yourself on the back" for being such a genius, then get upset when everyone else thinks it's stupid?
You have to know that when you put something "different" on here, there ARE going to be people who don't think it's genius. Nothing wrong with that....one of the things that makes this country great. Get over it and move on.
Whatever floats your boat...for me, I'd be scared of getting the toe stuck in like a vise and then can't get foot loose to plant before bike tips...JMO.
