A buddy of mine just bought a new to him EG and the previous owner had a few stickers on painted surfaces. We got the stickers off,now what household product,or what can he buy to get the remaining residue off without doing any damage to the paint.

3M makes some stuff called Trim Adhesive Remover or something of the sort. There may be other options but that is what I have used for years. Comes in a red and white quart can and you will only find it at certain auto parts or auto paint stores. It ain't cheap either if it is even still available.

I get mine from the local PPG auto paint place and last I bought was about $30, 2 years ago. However, it works for all kinds of stuff and lasts for a while unless you leave the lid off like I did my last can! Evaporates quickly!

Heat them up with a blow dryer and try to peel them off, then use goo gone if there is any residue left

I've used kerosene, WD40, and Goo-Gone. All work well, and no, kerosene won't damage your paint. Just clean and wax afterwards.

GooGone, WD40, Kerosene will all work just fine with no damage to paint... As recommended above always wax over the area after cleaning of adhesive residue...

Plain old lighter fluid. Been using it forever to combat adhesives.

WD40. I haven't found anything that resists it and most of us have a can lying around. You may have to be patient with some glues, apply a few times, but it has always triumphed in my experience. Kitchen tissue is the only tool you need!
