Default Agitator wheels on a pre-08. Can it be done?

Just like the title says. I really like the chrome agitator wheels, but is it possible to retro fit to a 2004 Ultra? I can see how the front wouldn't be too difficult, but don't know if the rear can be done. Anyone know?

When I bought my 21" fat spoke wheels for my 01 electra glide the suppliers pressed in bearings for a newer bike so it didn't fit my axel, called them and they sent me out new bearings but i wound up picking up a axel off a 08 and just using that instead. So yes it should work if you either change the bearings on the wheel or change your axel. That's for the front not sure about the rear.

The rear won't fit, without serious surgery. I haven't seen a post from anyone who has done it, except one who fabricated a swingarm. It also requires a wider rear fender, so not for the feint hearted. The stock rear tyre that fits it is wider than an 04 fender!

The front can be fitted, but needs some effort to get it right. There are threads on doing it.

Yup you can do it. Its easy. I have one on my 03. I swapped to a 25mm axle and non abs bearings. But you need the Agitator rotors which must be used with the brembo calipers off a newer bike to.

The rear is too wide for an 08 or earlier.

Front is no big deal. Rear would require fab work that most folks can't handle. If you have to pay to have the work done, you would be better off with aftermarket wheels that fit the bike.

If your heart is set on Agitators do the front only. Otherwise an 18x4.25 with a 150/70/18 is what you can put on your year bike. The fact that the Agitator rotors are a different size is neither good nor bad but the Brembo calipers off the newer bikes work much better. I just got a set for my 05 and I also run them on my Dyna. Other options for calipers are PM or HHI.

I fixed the problem. Traded for a 13 Street Glide. Problem solved.
