Default Even If I had a Manual

OK......I know the 1st thing is "why dont you have a manual" (service manual that is)
Reason is dealer had to order one for my 2002 FLHTCI

I have a bulb blown for my RH turn signal indicator. I use TS 100% of the time, so it is driving me crazy.

Even if I had manual I owuld ask this question, because it is always good to have the advice of people who have done a job before.

I need to remove the outer fairing to change this bulb. What is the best procedure?

There are three screws in the windshield that come out, and there are four screws, two on each side on the back side of the fairing. The windshield will be phillips and the inner fairing will be torx. Once all the screws are out, and the headlight is unplugged the outer fairing will come right off.

Be sure to put a towel or some other padding between the outer fairing and the passing lamps to prevent damageto the outer fairing when it is removed.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Bill

Bill..........
Thanks a bunch. I looked over the entire situation and I came up with exactly what you said. I will do that one evening this week.

In your debt........

And take your time!!!! The trick for me is getting it back on! Easy to cross thread the bottom two and easy to pull out the brass inserts that hold the windshield - Follow the torque specs carefully because if I am not msitaken they are inch pounds not foot pounds - I guess in 02 they used phillips cause on my 05 they are all #27 torx - good luck!
