Default nail in tire but no leak

found a small finish nail in rear tire on 09 ultra. it was less than 1/2 inch long & in at an angle. when i pulled it out it didnt leak. this tire is an american elite with less than a 1000 miles. think its safe to ride on as long as i keep a close watch ? hasnt lost any pressure in 4 days.

For piece of mind I think I'd spend the bucks to take it off and make sure nothing shows on the inside threads.

Be happy and stop looking for trouble where it doesn't exist. Keep an eye on your inflation, if it doesn't vary you're in good shape.

I would have removed it with care, to see which way it was pointing. It is very likely it never got anywhere near the carcass, hence there is no risk of a puncture from it.

Ride it. Too new to go through, a tire with more ware would have leaked. If anyone ever sees a nail or something in a tire with a tub, like spokes get it out right then,it will cut the tube fast
