the reason I was given for the long delays was CFR was having a problem with its chromer and decided to switch to another one. Based on what I have read about peeling chrome on earlier CFR pipes, this was a good decision long term.

Me too. I dont find them that much louder than the 3.5 Rineharts I had before. I was lucky enough to get mine form one of the forum members who didnt like them. Saved a bundle

Got the same setup and I love them. Sound is perfect. Wouldn't change a thing.

I have the VH Dresser duals. They really compliment each other!
Also, you might want to call Cary Foss in Az (CFR owner). He spent a good amount of time with me on the phone when I was trying to decide. Yea, the pipes are pricey, but I know he will back his product. I'm sure he will give you an idea how far on back order they are.

I wonder what sound difference there is between CFR's and the Jackpot Pro-Touring muffler (pictured below). They both seem to have a similar tapered design. I have a set of the Pro-Touring pipes and like the sound.

I bought a set last Sept/Oct, ran them for about 30 miles, took them off and put back in the box. The sound was deep and not too loud but in my opinion they made the bike sound like a muscle car, not what I wanted.
