Wheel weights adhesive not sticking. Pressure sensitive?
I bought wheel weights form Harley for my bike since some came off (new bike).
I cleaned the area well with parts cleaner and alcohol. I peeled off the adhesive
protection form the wheel weight and placed thw weights in with a bit of pressure but
they do not stick. Someone was telling me that they may use pressure sensitive adhesive.
Is that my problem? If so how long do I apply pressure?

Obviously the flat weight has to be on a flat surface of the wheel. I use rubbing alcohol then dry the area and wait a minute to be sure it's completely dry. The adhesive is a "you get one try" deal. You can't reposition it, if you do it won't stay adhered. If you get it a little crooked leave it that way, or remove it and use a new weight. Remove the paper (do NOT let the adhesive touch anything, finger etc.) then stick it on and push it firmly for 15 seconds. I've never experienced one coming loose after doing this.

The only reason it won't stick is that there must be a residue of oil or wax you failed to remove. Alcohol usually does it but you may have missed some. Try again with a new weight. I also have replaced the sticky tape on a few items with better grade stuff but you'd think wheel weights would have the best stuff already.
