First service?
When did you get your first service done? My dealer says it should be done at 1000 miles. Is that right or too soon?

thats what harley recomends...personally I think you should run the crap out of it for 200 miles and at least dump the engine oil

I got mine done at 1,000 miles or around there and then I'm getting it done at 5,000. That's their schedule and the manuals. It's their game and their rules. And it's in warranty.

I did my first service myself at 1000 miles. I don't trust anybody to touch my bike.
