Ha, ha!!! Been there, done that, just 2 weeks ago. While I really, really liked my Fatty, I didn't love it the way I knew I would love a RK, and spending money wasn't going to make that happen. Now I can spend money on something that I know I love and will keep (at least longer than I have kept my other bikes...).
I also had a chance to get a RK a while back, and I believe if I had, it would have been cheaper of course, but I would NOT appreciate it the way I do now after taking the scenic route to get it.
Good luck!

Gorgeous bike!
I think many of us have been where you are. Spent tons of money on a bike then you want a new one. It's a continuous cycle.
IMO, I think it depends on the type of riding you plan on doing. If you're not doing any touring or putting on 300kms on the weekends then you may be better off with the Fatboy. The SG is a big heavy bike and if you're just bootin' around the city it may prove to be too big and bulky.

Your bike is awesome! Sell it on craigslist and get a bagger you will never look back. Make a pact with yourself you will ride the new bagger bone stock for one year. Yeah right!!! In another life maybe!! I've had the RG and the SG get the Street Glide. I added lowers and a quick detach king tour-pak to mine. Enjoy which ever you get but get a bagger for the OL and you will both be happy.

Well, here's a reverse story!
I went from a Softy to a Street Glide. Loved the Street Glide but missed the rawness and looks of the softail so 6 months ago traded back for my Fatboy Special (lo to you guys in the US)
I can't imagine ever going back now!
By the way that's a gorgeous looking ride you've got - I'd seriously think twice about getting rid of it........
