ORIGINAL: nobody special
WhileI got your attention. It has backrest with rack, oil cooler, fishtails, minimal extra chrome, 9K miles $15k too much?, fair?, almost reasonable?

RE: RK-RG-UC which/why
I have a 1957 FLH and now a 2007 FLHRC. To me it was a no-brainer. I wanted the closest bike that Harley makes to my 1957 (was my dad's, passed down to me).
Black, clear windshield, spokes, that classic look.
Besides, it can go from Tourer to Cruiser by popping off the windshield and Tourtrunk!

Wow, I had that sameproblem. I was really leaning towards a UCor anFLHR. After many months talking things over with my wife, we came to the conclusion that I do not travel that far very often. I am still young, only 38. Radio's get old and need replacement, the windshield can be removed on the king, and finally I was scared offfrom the radio problems in the 06 models. Yes, I am VERY happy with my bike. It is all a matter of personal choiceand they are all really great bikes, I think you will be happy with whatever you finally pick.

RE: RK-RG-UC which/why
I bought the RKC because I don't really care for the fairing's looks / weight / and how old I feel when riding a UC or EGC. I really like the fact that I can pull my windshield and backrest off if I want to put around town and look cool yet I can throw a big t bag on the luggage rack and put on some miles. I guess (and this will pi$$ off a bunch) that I felt I was too young to have a gizer glide! I originally liked the road glide but the looks of the fixed fairing scared me away.Although I hear a bunch of people say that the Road Glide is actually the best handling touring bike because of the fixed fairing. If you are going to get the get the Ultra do what the one guy recommended and get the ultra classic then strip off what you don't want. You can get a detachable mount for your tour rack.
Do what most of the others have suggested and go test drive one of each. I've fond the UC to be very top heavy when driving slow in parking lots. My king is very well balanced and handels like a much smaller bike.
Whatever one you get I'm sure that you will love it.
Good luck!
