Default Rinehart help, spit the baffle out while on the road

I got my bike last November, and it already had 4" Rinehart slip on's on the stock head pipe. Today while I was out riding, I heard a strange noise and suddenly the exhaust got much louder. When I got it home, I looked inside and saw that the baffle was missing altogether. Looking at the Rinehart website, I find replacement baffles in 2.25 (what mine measures) and 2.5 inch versions, but they only fit "Clearline manufactured products". http://rinehartracing.com/accessories/baffles/100-0109 Since I didn't buy them new, I have no idea if mine are Clearline or not. It would appear that I'll need new exhaust tips as well, since that's what holds the baffles in. ANyone out there running the Performance Machine Slash cut tips? http://performancemachine.com/motorc...aust-tips.html I was wanting these anyway, but any real world experience would be welcome. Thanks.

If you hadn't messed with the baffles I'd be calling up Rhinehart and asking for some help (ie free replacement baffle & tip). That shouldn't just happen no matter what the warranty is.

If you've ever tried to remove a Rinehart baffle intentionally, it's nothing short of phenomenal that one just fell out.

I took the remaining one out to measure it up. Getting the button heads out of the cap was the hardest part, it was hard to get allen head into the hole (4 mm). After that, the baffle came out with just a slight wiggle.

Since john didn't originally purchase them himself I can't see them being warrantied, which is probably justified since only the original owner knows how much he jacked with the end caps allowing them to fall off. Definitely they are Clear line, Bub never made 4" Rhinos

Same thing just happened to me while riding yesterday. All of the sudden my bike was unreal loud. My first guess was the baffle fell out or something with the right exhaust pipe. I pulled over, shined my flashlight inside and she was wide open. Pretty disappointing seeing i have only 1500 miles on these pipes. And were brand new in october. Jackpot/ fuel moto has received a piece of my mind waiting to hear back.

Don't know why Fuel Moto would get a piece of your mind. Call Rinehart. Or fix them yourself. All you need is a couple 1/4-20 button heads and a tap. Tap the end cap hole that would be to the outside of the pipe. Take the baffle out and rap the inside end on the ground to oval it a little. Drill out the hole that is already in the baffle one size larger then the 1/4 bolt. Reassemble and from the inside of the pipe, bolt the baffle through the tapped hole in the end cap. I will try and take pics tomorrow. .

That kind of blows me away! My Rinehart tips have a flange that locks the baffle into the pipe. Without the tip falling off, I don't see how that could have happened....unless it's a different design than what I have. Did they change designs? I bought mine when the 4"ers first came out a couple of years ago.

From what I've seen the aluminum is softer then the steel baffle and it erodes the lip of the tip and they go shooting out.... You know before it happens most of the time though..... The baffle starts rattling and then.... boom...
