Default Street Glide vs Road Glide

Ok guys. I've ridden my beloved Sportster for 6 years. I recently sold it and bought an 05 Heritage I got for a song. I never should've bought the Heritage, because I never really wanted one, but I thought I could learn to like it. Long story short, I don't like it. I'm trading it tomorrow morning. They're ordering me one of two bikes. Street or Road Glide. So my question to you guys is, "What do you guys think? What are your opinions of the two?" I have my own opinions but I'm curious to hear yours. Thanks in advance.

I would not have them order a bike until you've had a chance to ride both. Very different feeling bikes. Both good but different. You need to find out which one feels right to you.

RG = spacious cockpit - best for Big & Tall People

SG = in your face cockpit -

but I'm prejudice (and not big & tall)
just like to stretch out alot

ps - you won't be ordering a 2014 RG !! Discontinued till 2015 redesign (?) Can you order an 2013 this late - or are they just going to locate one for you ?

Ride both - then decide

If you don't ride both, you could make a very costly mistake.

I bought a Street Glide and now in the process of converting it to a Road Glide. Cheaper to go that route vs buying a new bike.

this is a straight out personal choice you need to make, ride em both. two things made me buy a 12 SG one i think the SG fairing looks better its not as bulky as the RG fairing, and two you cant change channels from preset to preset you have to push the buttons on the radio. im 5'11" and had a hard time reaching the radio on a RG when riding.

Trying them both is your only real option and I don't even think a test ride is sufficient and would recommend the rental route so you can take both for a full day ride. Just like what color, it's a personal choice you have to be comfortable with or you'll end up hating it like your heritage. The RG look is a love hate thing for sure. I know several guys that have traded street glides for other touring bikes, the few people I know with roadies always end up with a newer road glide.
