Wholly Crap, I'm going to be a Grandpa

That was always my fear. Fortunately her boy friend/fiance is an Army Vet, got a wake up call from an RPG in Afghanistan and broke his back. He was medically discharged and now has a decent full time job at a local Outdoor Store working on boats, it could be a lot worse. Thankfully it wasn't with the last moron she dated. I think they will be fine, but you always worry about them even though they are adults.

Congrats! Welcome to the Touring G-Pa's Club. Its nothing but awesome. I became a Pop Pop at 44, I didnt feel old, its the best thing ever. Now I have 2, My grandson is 1 1/2 and my granddaughter is going on 9 months. I love being their Pop Pop...and cant wait to take them for rides. We got my grandson a wooden rocking motorcycle (think rocking horse) and he rides the hell out of that thing. We love buying them all kinds of stuff, we just got my granddaughter little bar & shield hair ribbons this past weekend.
So enjoy every minute of it.

I'm looking forward to that myself. I will say, there is a different type of love with a grandkid then a child. Not any less but different. I can't explain it, but I definitely feel it.

Congratulations they are a lot of fun. We are blessed with two, boys, and yes wait till you see em on the back arms out like a airplane, trying to get big rigs to honk, hollerin and grinning from ear to ear. One calls me Granpa the other Papa. Just wish they lived closer so we could spend more time together.
