My $25 WalMart Audio Upgrade

Well its held up thru this month has had a lot of rain and due to the location/design when your riding the rain does not get there in large enough quantities that I have been in so far (granted monsoon weather may nullify my results). Even when parked in the parking lot in 2 heavy storms/downpours had no issue with it performing.
The lighter design will work like a normal lighter but the usb part if you look at the interface its design is deep inset male/female couplings. Because it is inset I think that helps with the weather and thats why no issue so far when it has gotten wet.
Yeah I forgot to remove it when I did wash the bike down, I prefer not to hose a bike down but a late evening ride covered it in bug guts one day so no choice. Anyways I forgot it was there until I did a direct hose hit, yet after blowing the bike down and a turn of the switch it lit up and worked just fine.

Thanks guys for feedback! I am no tightass and am willing to pay for a product that does what I want IF I can't do it myself within reason. I seen a bunch of mounts etc... and non were versatile as mine and as cheap as what I could do it for and the results would still look the same in the end so why wouldn't I do it myself was my logic.

Been there, done that, never mind the haters and internet rambozos. No issues with reception yet, don't ride in the rain for the simple fact that high winds and monsoon rains are usually all we get.
But my phone mount is different, also allowing me to use GPS & audio. Mounted on top of dash above gauges...and it is simply made from angle iron and 3m "Velcro". 2yrs of daily commuting and no issues yet.
I get compliments on the mount all the time. All you see is phone "floating on the dash" as one person stated.

Now that's just down right funny. We actually do this when we are out camping. Clothelines work great by attaching one end to a tree and the other to the trunk mounts.

Yea, i was being a little too aggressive earlier. But now ive taken my handfull of daily pills and i am feeling much better now. Sorry if i offended but it troubles me when people make fun of someone for his innovation. Hell, it all comes from hop singville anyway so who cares.
