I sat on a Mustang (Supertouring w/backrest) before buying. It's a quality seat - much better than stock imo. If you do like it, Google the part number for the best deal. I bought mine for $250 under retail that way.

FYI ... I got one in the classifieds. Yes I bought mine based on forum responses. It is a nice seat to most, and I'm happy with it too. Nothing suits everyone. I am going to try something different (kinda like pipes) and haven't found one to try out but again I got faith in HDF members responses to various items.

Another thing I've heard many people say, don't give up on the Mustang until it's broken in. Ride with it for while and it will get more comfortable as you go.
Now I don't know if that's true or not. Seems to me that if it has to be broken in, and it gets more comfortable as you go, then it will eventually go beyond comfortable and be back to uncomfortable again at some point. Just my way of thinking. Could be wrong.

Bought a Mustang seat sight unseen. Went by their descriptions. The seat was well made with a very solid seat pan. Construction was great. But, the caveat here is that it cured only part of my problem. It afforded more room for the passenger at the expense of reducing room for the rider. It pushed me forward so, that I literally was sitting on the gas tank. I also had to relocate my backrest mount one notch forward to fit the cutout. That in itself jacked me up and became uncomfortable on any trip of some length. I was forced to replace it with a HD Road Zeppelin. That was a wise choice. The "Road Sofa" may look ungainly wide, but on a large touring bike - not so much. As long as I am comfortable that is what counts.
