buying a Mustang seat....

Bought a Mustang for my Wide Glide site unseen and it was awesome. The stock seat on my Wide Glide was horrible. The Mustang was very firm, which I like. The stock seat on my Ultra sucks a$$ because it's way too soft and pushes me foreward. I prefer firm seats and want to get one for the Ultra but can't spring the $ right now.

Thanks for choosing a Mustang seat. Many folks are leery of the "firmness" of the Mustang seats but in fact that is what will give you longer riding time and retain correct riding posture. All that equals less fatigue and greater comfort. Soft is not the better choice in our opinion. Thanks!
Back in the 80's, I rode from Omaha to Traverse City MI, straight through. My seat was super soft, but my butt hurt so bad, I decided that my seat was not soft enough, so stopped at a box store in Gary Indiana and got a pillow. Sat on that for the rest of the ride and when I got to Traverse City, the last thing I wanted to do was get back on that bike. Went to a bike shop where they hooked me up with a much firmer seat, and I rode back to Omaha pain free.
Oh, and I bought my Mustang seat only because it looks so cool on my EG, and after getting it, I find out that it's comfortable too. I hate my 2-up seat now. I'm thinking about buying my wife a bike so I never have to put my 2-up seat on ever again.

You can prove this for yourselves by sitting on a soft pillow for a few hundred miles. When you get off, you won't want to get back on.

Hi from Sydney Australia. I'm convinced the Mustang is the seat for me however am still undecided. I want to go down 1" and back 1" as opposed to the stock seat. I'm hearing the Tripper Solo is good but the Wider Tripper Solo with the pattern is better. Not convinced on the Vintage Solo, unless you would like to comment,
