30 to 50 miles. You can tell its changing as you go but you have to export before it is saved.

That is what I was thinking. I will data-log it on the way to work tomorrow.

I have found that if you have your low end below 2000 setup to where it will pull good at low speeds it will lean it out in this area and cause bike to be less responsive down low. This is especially true for true duals and free flow exhaust. I do this by saving the current map and the autotuned map that is saved in custom tunes to computer and use the compare and if it leaned out this area I will change it back especially the 10 to 40% area below 2000. If it richens leave it. Put the new map back over the one that was saved during the autotune and use it if you decide to do additional autotuning. You can ride the bike before you put on computer and evaluate performance if you like. May not need to put it back to where it was on low end.

Really? I dont think it changes anything while you are riding, just records. The only time it changes anything is when you actually flash the ECM with the map it made from the recorded data.

Correct, the operating parameters don't change during the ride, it only logs data (VE corrections for example) and then incorporates those back into your initial tune when you export. You'll always see differences between the original tune and the one exported. If those changes are very small, say less than 5%, you're at the end of the process.

The longer the better, but I would give it at least 30 min. riding through as much of the operating range as possible. Depending on the settings, it will not use data from a cell that has less than a certain number of hits, so if it is set for 50 hits and you get 40 that cell won't be changed. It's easy to get enough hits in the cruise range since you're there most of the time, but when you approach WOT the engine flies through certain areas very quickly, making it necessary to do multiple WOT runs if that is an area you need to tune.

I tune the old-fashioned way using WinPV and PVTune, and usually use multiple logs of about 15 min. each.
