Default Help, battery light and engine light on 06' Road Glide

I doubt it's the battery, as I just installed a new one in Daytona at bike week. Haven't driven it since then. The meter on the dash shows it's only charging at 11 volts.
I'm hoping it's a bad connection on the battery, but haven't looked yet.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated....

Make sure everything is tight, and clean. Get a volt meter , start the bike, and put the volt meter on the battery, it should read 14.2 volts with the bike running about 2k rpms.

You are probably right that it's not the battery. 06 and earlier still ran the single phase charging systems and they aren't the best. It's probably either the regulator or the stator. On mine it was the stator at 19,000, 32,000 and 57,000 miles before I got smart and went with an aftermarket 3 phase system (Compufire,) and it's been fine for the last 70,000 miles.

If you have a multi meter, you can google the test procedure for both the stator and the regulator. Or if you have an Indy within 20 miles you can charge it up and ride it there. (But when you get to about 8.5 indicated volts on the dash, the bike's gonna' die on ya'. Be forewarned.)

Good luck.

Voltage regulator was the issue on my glide with what your describing.
