Default Road Tech Zumo 660 not charging in the cradle

Anybody with a Road tech gps, that looses power, look at the inline fuse wire.

Was out for a afternoon ride the other day and put the Zumo 660 in the cradle, just to make sure everything works. After a hour or so, the Low Battery message came on. No power to the Gps. Thinking it might be the cradle, i called garmin and they have a new cradle on the way to me.
Decided this morning to take the fairing off so i can check it all out and found the short red wire with the inline fuse is hanging loose. It had come out of the connector, that hooks up to the headlight harness. Re-crimped it and soldered it. The original crimp-job looked like a new-hire done it.

Mine did lose power this past winter as well and the first time after a couple years. Pulled the seat and found one of the lugs had come a bit loose to the battery. Always start with the simple stuff. I will refrain from using the old cliche'..... At least you will have a spare cradle.

Man...Stupid canadian charges **** me off..
The cradle came via UPS half hour ago. They charged me 24 bucks for bringing it across the border.
10 bucks for broker fees
$ 4 duties
plus 13 % taxes on this warranty replacement item.
I wanna move to southern USA

You would be welcome if you are not like the California transplants that come to New Mexico, Colorado and other places because they hate California, and then the minute they get here they start trying to change us to be just like California. Ie. gun laws, helmet laws, taxes, etc. Boulder and Denver so much so that they may as well be Calif.

Thats what happens in canada here with immigrants. They come because it's better here, and the minute they arrive to want to change it to what they're used to. Send em all back where they came from!
And after a nights sleep, I'm still pissed at UPS bull-**** charges (apparently goes to the GOV. except for the broker fees). Thats gonna gnaw on my for days, giving me more reasons to go across the border and shop there and get my trailer ready too. Will need it to bring the new mattress and box spring back. They screw me out of $24, they'll loose hundreds. They just don't get it.....

Anyway, I'm gettn ready to take the bike out for the day and make sure the GPS keeps working.

Consider rewiring to battery instead of putting yourself in a position of having to remove the faring just to check a fuse.

Sorry, no more room in the south until we get rid of some of the dickheaded transplants.
