how comfy is stock SG seat?
I was sitting on my brothers '12 SG the other day and really liked the way the seat looked and felt. We installed it on my '08 and it fit so I bought a used one but have not had the chance to ride with it yet. Just wonder what others think of the seat. Is it comfy as it seems?

I've tried a lot of different seats. Including an expensive Mustang. I've finally settled on a '12 SG seat. I've considered sending it to MCC for even more confort.

I really like the seat on my 12 SG. It has a decent amount of back support and has the cool smooth look rather than the stitching that the previous years of SG's. I am sure there are more comfortable seats out there, but I am more than happy with mine.

I like it for under 4 hours- painful at 6.
Mine is the 09/10 version which has a smaller rear section than the 11+
the profile and seating position are good, the bumper helps for "***-steering" in aggressive riding
I use an ultra seat when touring, 8 to 10 hour days, day after day

Good to excellent for the driver. Poor to horseshit for the passenger. Depends on who you like to keep happy. Happy wife, happy life.

I have a Sundowner for longer rides and passenger comfort. I really like the looks alot more than the RG seat I had. Thanks for the input.

If it was just me, the stock SG seat would be just fine.

The Sundowner works for us.
Of course the stock seat "looks" better though.

The stock Street Glide seat is OK (one up). Much better after a trip to Mean City Cycles. Get their "Super Narrow & Memory Foam" upgrade.

The '06-'10 stock Street Glide seats suck *****. I bought a used '12 stock Street Glide seat for solo and a Sundowner for two up.
Both stockers suck for passenger.
