No offense, but I can't imagine leaving Texas for Michigan. Hope it works out for you though.

Hey Pearldrums2; I can relate to your situation. After living in Phoenix for ten yrs. Family obligations had forced wife and I to move back to Canton, Ohio. But we made the move in mid January. That 1st. week I absolutely hated the weather, still do 80's one day snow the next. After ridding year round I'm beginning to question the reason to own a bike here. I guess I'm spoiled LOL I hope we both get use to the change.

I saw a before and after of Detroit on a Web site I'm not going to mention. It was astounding. Detroit used to be a vibrant, wonderful city. all sorts of ethnicities, great music, the owrks. I grew up east of Cleveland and Detroit was always way cooler. Wall Beach Casino, the whole auto thing, Greenfield Village.

Can't say the obvious though...

I hope you're moving back for a good job because I can't think of any other reason to be here. Grew up and lived here in Monroe County all my life. If it wasn't for my good job and Michigan Wolverines home games, I would have left long ago. Can't wait to retire and go south.

Best of luck to you!

Living in the midwest makes you appreciate the riding season more, but yes I am jealous of you folks across the south.

Hopefully can meet some cool people to ride with.
