Does anyone have any tips or recommendations for cleaning the black rims on stock streetglide? Brush? Cloth? Any special cleaning solution to reslly make her shine without spending a fortune on harley products?
I hate cleaning the wheels too. I use a mothers polishing brush that is fluffy enough to get in all of the hard spots while stiff enough to scrub the wheels clean. I simply use a car wash detergent.
I've found that the 'A2Z' all wheel cleaner is hard to beat. It does a good job on most everything I've used it on. Chrome or black, the results are pretty good....
I used wheel cleaner once when I had stock wheels, it did not play nicely with the silver part of the wheels and stained them. I would suggest mild soap and some elbow grease. That silver part looks like it is raw metal and does not have any coating on it which I think is the issue.
I bought mine used and they have a few stains on the silver, I wonder if there is anything that will take the stains off. It looks like they have a clear coat on the silver.
Thanks for the feedback. A local detailer suggested harley wheel cleaner and or pigsnot, but those are pretty pricey and was hoping for a cheaper spray on rinse off alternative.
I guess Im getting lazy in my old age.
