Here is a link to a thread you should read if you want to really learn about your quick disconnect valve (from a member that worked in the plant where they were manufactured for HD) and where you can find and purchase the proper sized aftermarket O ring:

Yes, that's the link where I got my information, and it seems to have worked very well. The OP of this present thread refers to a different HD part number (#11105 vs. 11273) for the correct O-ring than that in the thread to which you've referred, but the description of "the O-ring on the drain plug" is what I used, and it fit and seems to have cured the problem. In fact, I actually miked the O-ring to make sure the specs were identical, but I'm not sure which part number is actually correct, although I'm inclined to believe n8dc, who actually worked where the valves were made...

i was out today and stopped and bought 2 of the john deere o-rings, does anyone know if they are nitril or viton. what about the oil drain o-ring, nitril or viton. i did measure both of them and they appear to be the same in size.

Default Does anyone know the thread size on a MM tank fuel fitting

I have a MM tank and the threads are messed up on the fuel fittings does anyone know what size they are so I can get a tap
