New tunes
#11
I just replaced the speakers over the winter with Boom speakers. They cleaned up the sound enough for me to hear and understand the words on talk show going 60 MPH. Otherwise I have a stock set up. Of course, I'm not really a descriminating Audiphile, so youmight need something different.

Hog tunes IMHO is very sub par. (Except for the tweeter pods) I know many that have gone with the hog tunes upgrades, from just swapping speakers to the full Bagger kits. None of them are happy with the results. Especially after hearing my system and finding out i spent less than they did for a much better system. While HT is a marked improvement over stock, especially with one of their albeit underpowered amps, it's only very little improvement. The same goes for HD's BOOM audio garbage. As already stated, head over to the audio forum and seek out UltraNutz. After much reading on the topic here on this forum and elsewhere, I went with a DIY kit recommended by UltraNutz. I couldn't be happier. Tell him what you want out of your sound system and what your budget is and he will tell you the best way to go. My system kicks major *** and was cheap to boot. By cheap I mean low cost, not sub par equipment. I went with 4 Polk MM651 speakers, and a sound stream 500watt amp.

Then talk with UltraNutz. Also feel free to PM me if you decide to go in the same direction I did and you have questions. I'd be happy to help.
