Default rear tire new size options

I just bought a 99 Roadking in mint condition and can't wait to start racking up the miles. The tires both front and rear are 130's. That rear looks punny for the size of bike. Can I squeeze a wider tire under the rear like a 150. My wifes Honda Shadow has a 170 and looks great on her bike. Your thoughts.

think a 150 would be widest without belt or spacer changes.think dunlop E3 MU90 will fit may need to trim the guard.

You should be able to get an MU-140/85 in, but a 150/80 may be tight, if you have the 1 1/2" wide belt. I went to a later spec 1 1/8" narrow belt to use that width. Your next restriction after belt clearance is fender width and while a 150 fits fine, any wider needs work!
